About the Artist

Judith Housel grew up in California, Mississippi and Texas. She is the daughter of the late Kaye Housel, famous silhouette artist and matriarch of a family of artists.

Judith has been a professional artist throughout her adult life, and has always had an affinity for the human face. She says that she finds her happiness in painting the nuances of people's faces.

Nowadays, Judith can be found in her cabin by the lake, which she shares with her husband. She enjoys painting and drawing there, away from city life.
